Red Velvet Hot Cacao
Instructions
Mix together with a whisk in a bowl or for a frothier texture add directly to a blender.
If you would like to top your drink with Coconut Whipped Cream, set a Can of Coconut Milk in the refrigerator the night or a head of time before making this recipe. Recipe below for Coconut Whipped Cream.
Gently Mix together Coconut Milk, Vanilla Extract and Salus Red Beet Crystals to create a beautiful red velvet color.
Add in Cacao Powder a little at a time until it is all mixed in. Add Maca Powder, Cinnamon, and Sea Salt. If you like you can mix in other spices of your choice such as Cardamom or Nutmeg.
Gently pour mixture in a blender to make extra frothy. (This step is optional)
Pour into a pot and heat on the stove on medium heat. Gently stir until hot cocoa is nice and hot.
Pour your beverage into a mug.
Stir in Honey or Maple Syrup to sweeten to your taste.
Top with Coconut Whip Cream and Cacao Powder or Cacao Nibs.
