Red Fruit Smoothie Bowl

The Smoothie bowl isn’t just a smoothie in a bowl; it is an edible piece of artwork.

The Smoothie bowl isn’t just a smoothie in a bowl; it is an edible piece of artwork.

A smoothie can be made a million and one ways. In my experience making a smoothie will always turns out tasty with any combination of fruits + a base of either water, milk, or yogurt, + sometimes an extra dash of sweetness like honey, I enjoy making smoothies because I don’t always need a recipe, and can improvise with ingredients I already have in my kitchen. A smoothie in the morning can really jumpstart your day, and makes it extra easy to get a giant helping of daily fruits.

And of course I believe in making things as beautiful as possible, and a Smoothie Bowl does just the trick. The Smoothie Bowl isn’t just a smoothie in a bowl; it is an edible piece of artwork. Instead of drinking the smoothie in a glass, pour in a bowl, and add toppings of your choice for extra nutrition and delicious flavors. It is impossible to stay in a bad mood when eating something this bright and beautiful.

The Red Fruit Smoothie

I wanted to make an all red smoothie using some of nature’s best red fruits, along with special ingredient Salus Red Beet Crystals, for an extra superfood punch. Red Beet Crystals are an excellent way to add vegetable nutrition to your smoothie. 1 TBLS goes a long way with a full dose of a serving of beets. The crystals dissolve instanteanously. They are organic, vegan, non-GMO. I really enjoying adding Red Beet Crystals to all types of food, but definitely recommend adding them to add smoothie you make. Tips for Smoothie Making…

  • You can peel the fruits first, but I like to leave the peel on fruits like apples, pears, and nectarines for all the fiber and protein benefits.

  • Add frozen fruits to the bottom of the blender first.

  • I prefer using cold filtered water in my smoothies first thing in the morning because it is the easiest on digestion and getting your hydrated to start your day.

  • Adding lemon helps activate the vitamin and minerals in the other fruits.

  • Use ice if you have all fresh fruits, and no frozen fruits. Set in freezer for an hour is another option.

  • Add a banana to thicken your smoothie. A banana can be used to cut a too tart flavor.

  • If a fruit is out of season, you can use frozen fruits or it’s pure unsweetened juice form. Unsweetened Cherry Juice & Pomegranate Juice have tons of health benefits as well.

  • The more fruits you use, the sweeter it will be.

  • Dice and Slice your fruits, for your blender to blend easier and quicker.

  • For the smoothie bowl, get as creative as your want with the toppings, there is no wrong way.
