They are typically made with ingredients high in protein, fiber and the healthier carbs and fats; packed into a bite-sized snack. There are a million and one ways to make energy balls. They really easy to whip up with things you already have in your pantry. You can create them with any combination of nut butter, nuts, dried fruits, powders, and natural sweetners. I recommend trying to different combinations of ingredients each time you make a batch. All it requires is a food processor to blend everything up, no no baking required, just a little chopping, blending, and rolling.
Here is a list of other ingredients you can make energy balls with… oats, peanut butter, cacao, orange zest, cashews, coconut oil, flax seeds, dates, pumpkin seeds, maple syrup, dried cherries,
I wanted to create an Extra Energizing Energy Ball by using Salus Red Beet Crystals as the star of the show. Beet Crystals are an incredibly energizing ingredient. They are made from pure organic beet juice. So you will be getting the nutrition of a whole cup of beets packed inside one serving of energy balls. They also taste amazing in the crystalized form. Salus Red Beet Crystals added flavor, texture, color, and lots of nutrition to this recipe. I wanted to pair them with other energizing ingredients- like Maca Powder, Almond Butter, Coconut. I also wanted a little bit of natural sweetness, so I added organic Honey, and Golden Raisins. Salus Red Beet Crystals blend seamlessly with the other ingredients, and also I rolled each ball in the crystals which provide more flavor the second you take a bite.
