Netflix Cooking Show Review

Here is my list of Netflix Shows that I have enjoyed watching over the last year! Hope they inspire you to cook something delicious!

Nadiya Bakes- Colorful, Inspiring, & Creative Dishes. Nadiya Hussain, a British Bangladesshi, Chef & TV Personality offers an upbeat and sunny disposition while baking the most delightful and stunning baked goods. She is certainly more enjoyable to watch than your typical tv chef. This show will inspire you to have fun creating something beautiful in the kitchen!

Salt Fat Acid Heat- A Must-Watch! This show stars Samin Nosrat, an amazing award-winning chef & cookbook author. Originally a New York Best Selling Cooking Book, this show is a 4 episode series that takes place in Japan, Italy, Mexico, & California. Samin says if you can master these for 4 elements, Salt, Far, Acid, & Heat in the kitchen, you can master cooking.

Street Food Latin America- Beyond what I expected! This documentary series is beautifully filmed and has excellent storytelling. The street food featured will make you drool, but this series is less about the food and more about the hands that prepares this food. It features the personal stories and journeys of street food artisans from Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Bolivia, & Argentina. This show will make you hungry and also want to start traveling again.

Paris Cooks- I get it, Paris Hilton may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but as I was watching it, I related so much to how Paris Hilton cooks. The tagline is… “I love cooking, but I’m not a trained chef, and I’m not trying to be…” and thats exactly how I feel about my own cooking. Paris is very on brand- extravagant, lavish outfits, unfiltered. This show could make anyone in the food industry cringe, but my takeaway is that even if you don’t know how to cook, with a few recipes, lots of improvisation, experimenting and doing your own thing, cooking can still turn out delicious! Basically this is a fun watch, and if Paris can learn to cook, so can you!

Great British Baking Show- A classic cooking show! I have heard about it for years, but never got into it until recently. This show is somehow VERY calming. You almost forget it is a competition show. This is a great show if you want something playing in the background, while you do other task around the house. I have been watching this show to get my mind off things and enjoy all the British accents and humor.

Nailed It!- A humorous baking competition show for amateur cooks attempting to bake extravagent & complicated dessert designs. It is definitely a light-hearted show and the outcomes are hilarious.

I will binge-watch some more cooking shows… and add new shows to the list..
